HP - Renishaw high precision hand for tool setting provides high repeatability of operations on all types of multi-purpose lathes. HP systems connect to standard CNC inputs for sensors and can use standard measurement routines that use one-touch or two-touch methods. Instruments are exposed to each other and tied to the probe of the hand, which is in fact a high-precision base point of the machine. When performing a new operation, the tool is only adjusted with respect to the measuring probe.

When using the automatic hand for setting up the tool, it is also checked if there is a defective tool.
