Optical incremental linear encoder RGH40
- Production:
- Renishaw (United Kingdom)
- Encoder RGH40
When working with the open, non-contact reading head of the RGH40 encoder a RGS40-G glass ruler with a step of 40 μm by Renishaw is used, with a resolution of up to 50 nm!
Features and benefits of the RGH40 reading head
A compact and robust reading head with an integrated interpolator provides digital and analog output signals that meet the industry standard.
- High speed and reliability of work with zero friction and no mechanical wear.
- Scale with a step of 40 microns allows you to work with wide tolerances when installing the reading head.
- Simple installation and setup procedure due to the presence of a special built-in LED indicator.
The patented optical signal filtering system guarantees high signal stability under conditions that do not allow the use of most open optical encoders.
- The zero mark ensures the repeatability of the initial position, and the limit switches - the automatic signal giving the initiating stop of the moved node.
The RGH40 system allows reading from the RGS40-G glass ruler in 40 μm steps, as well as with the standard 40 μm glass ruler in the industry.
Glass ruler RGS40-G with a step of 40 microns
Reading from the glass ruler RGS40-G in 40 μm increments is done with the RGH40 head. The RGS40-G is ideal for situations where it is necessary to move the ruler separately from the substrate. Temperature compensation for the parameters of the RGS40-G is performed by the host controller using temperature sensors.
-We offer rulers with lengths from 120 mm to 1 m.
- Coefficient of thermal expansion ≈ 8.5 μm/m/° C.
- Accuracy <± 5 μm/m.
- Easily installed directly on the substrate, using the base bracket and mechanical clamps or self-adhesive base.
