Advanced 3D scanning software

Artec Leo uses two powerful software products for 3D-scanning, as well as the latest algorithms for processing 3D data created in Artec 3D . Artec Leo program and touch controls with a simple interface, designed for scanning and processing data in real time, are installed on the device by default. And once you have finished scanning, all the data must be uploaded to Artec Studio, editing capabilities, integrated post processing and data analysis which have won the recognition of industry professionals.

Destination
As a result of scanning we get a mathematical model of the object as a file, which can be transferred to various CAD / CAM programs for editing, scaling or modification, and then used to reproduce the object of scanning in the material, fast and economical replication, etc.

3D Scanning Technology
3D scanning technology developed by Artec 3D allows you to obtain information about the surface of objects (depth) with high accuracy and speed, using the principle of structured illumination, and the camera built into the scanner captures the texture of the object. Thanks to this technical solution, 3D-scanners Artec allow you to receive high-precision full-color computer models of complex objects.

The data are obtained by projecting a special grid at the parallax angle onto the scene objects. The lattice projection distortions created by the geometry of the objects make it possible to calculate the exact position of each of its points in three-dimensional space. The resulting points are triangulated, forming a polygonal surface, which can be represented in any of the common formats.
