3D-scanner Artec Eva
- Production:
- Artec 3D (USA)
The Artec Eva scanner is a device that is ideal for creating fast, textured and accurate 3D models of medium-sized objects, such as a human bust, an alloy wheel or a motorcycle exhaust system in high resolution. The scanning procedure does not require placing markers on the surface of the object. Thanks to the high speed of shooting and the ability of the scanner to receive information about surfaces with indentations, the scanner has practically unlimited possibilities
3D scanning technology developed by Artec 3D allows you to obtain information about the surface of objects (depth) with high accuracy and speed, using the principle of structured illumination, and the camera built into the scanner captures the texture of the object. Thanks to this technical solution, 3D-scanners Artec allow you to receive high-precision full-color computer models of complex objects
The data are obtained by designing a special grid at the parallax angle onto the scene objects. The lattice projection distortions created by the geometry of the objects make it possible to calculate the exact position of each of its points in three-dimensional space. The resulting points are triangulated, forming a polygonal surface, which can be represented in any of the common formats
Application in various fields
Healthcare
Scanners are indispensable in various medical applications, from prosthetics and orthotics to plastic surgery or dentistry. Whether it’s an impeccably accurate anatomical 3D model of the human body, a bespoke implant, or a customized wheelchair, our 3D scanners will help you bring high-quality, specialized care to your patients
Manufacturing
Scanners are industry-leading precision instruments that play crucial roles in a variety of processes in industrial design and manufacturing. From product development to manufacturing, our high-precision 3D scanning solutions cut the time and cost of capturing object data. Highly accurate scan data improves the reliability of processes, and seamless compatibility with a variety of widely used CAD and CAM programs allows you to deploy them in quality control, reverse engineering, and many more manufacturing-related use cases
All the way from design and rapid prototyping to reverse engineering and quality inspection, 3D scanners have become part and parcel of automakers’ technology toolsets. They allow to capture accurate, measurable 3D data from any part or component from tiny to very large. 3D scanning lets not only speed up day-to-day productivity, but shorten output development lifecycles, and facilitate the manufacturing of high-performance vehicles without compromising on safety or quality standards
Whether it’s a classic car restoration or a brand new automotive prototype, Artec 3D’s lightning-fast scanners deliver high-accuracy 3D surface data on every step of your design, prototyping, engineering, or manufacturing workflow
Heritage preservation
Scanners help you meld art, science, and innovation into precise 3D replicas of the world’s most treasured artifacts, structures, and sites. Whether you’re a museum curator preparing a digital exhibition or an archaeologist shedding light on extinct civilizations, Artec scanners will provide accurate, detailed scans for your object in record time
Forensic
With your Artec 3D scanning solution, you’ll easily create virtual copies of crime scenes, accident scenes, as well as the physical evidence within, exactly as it was at the moment of scanning, with no risk of contamination or damage. The 3D data you obtain will give you the power to determine both how and when an event occurred. In just minutes, you can capture evidence indoors or outdoors, including bloodstain patterns, bullet holes, tool marks, shoe prints, and much more
Visual effects and computer graphics
3D scanning technologies have become an essential component of modern filmmaking and virtual production pipelines, enabling computer graphics and visual effects producers, TV and film creatives to develop unique ultra-realistic 3D assets from real-world objects
From virtual location scouting to prop making and set decoration to creating the most identical digital doubles for actors, 3D scanners allow filmmakers and VFX studios to streamline their production workflows, create more realistic experiences, and unleash creativity — all while saving time and cost

Features and benefits
Safe to use
Eva uses white structured light technology, which makes it completely safe to scan people as well as inanimate objects
Without labels and calibration. Just point and scan
No preparation required, just connect the scanner and point it at the object like a video camera.
Tablet and battery compatible for true portability
Connect the 0.85 kg 3D scanner to a tablet and a rechargeable battery that provides up to 6 hours of operation, and you can scan almost anywhere, even where there is no power source.
Unification and simple integration
To capture large 3D objects or to create an automatic scanning system, multiple scanners can be combined and synchronized together. You can also integrate the scanners into your own custom solutions with the free Artec Scanning SDK.
Get the best results by combining geometry and texture data
No compromises: geometry and texture data join forces for optimal results.
